Lost In Time
This monument about forgotten childhood memories was made in collaboration with artist Mason Deane. Our concept is about things that we treasured in our childhoods, that we lose or forget due to the passing of time and the changes brought about by growing up. We used the image of a dead tree with a broken swing to symbolize the concept and the addition of a sorrowful face to the tree really brings the concept to life and adds a dimension of the thing we leave behind grieving for the relationship that was lost. There is a lot of detail on the sculpture that was successfully transferred from mold to concrete with added dimension through the paint which brings the sculpture to life. I really enjoyed collaborating and the fruits of successful teamwork are highly rewarding and satisfying.
